Fear Not
August 14, 2020

Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

2Kings 6:16-17

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just need a reminder that the battle is not ours, but God’s.

Whatever is happening right now in our lives is not hidden from the God who made the universe and created all things therein. Our sight is so often on the circumstance surrounding us. What we have to accomplish today, what we need to prepare for, how we need to address a situation, how to do relationships well… you get the idea; rather than fixing our eyes on the eternal.

Elisha faced such a time. He could see the heavenly armies, but other’s couldn’t until God opened their eyes. May God open our eyes today so that we may see that He has us surrounded as we walk in obedience to Him.

Surely , the God of angel armies is ever by our side.

The eternal God knows our needs and sometimes when we are in the midst of a storm of life, or a battle against evil, we need to be reminded that truly He has us surrounded
