The Sanctity of Marriage
June 10, 2020

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled,  for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Hebrews 13:4

We have all been accosted over the last few decades with emerging new ideas of how romantic relationships should be structured.  This has resulted in mass confusion and in the rejection of the covenant and institution of marriage between a man and a woman.   Marriage as we once knew it has been beaten into the ground.

In reality covenantal marriage has been ‘murdered,’ placed in a coffin of political correctness, and buried six feet down, with no marker or mortuary stone to identify the burial plot.

Speaking of faithful marriage between a man and a woman as being the ideal; the exemplary context for intimate relationship; the perfect place where both man and woman can learn to support, surrender and challenge one another in mutual submission; and the superlative place for the nurture and growth of children will soon become a criminal offence in Canada.

Political correctness in the area of sexuality, marriage and the nuclear family has been destroying our country, dismantling sound science and proven truth from its very foundations for decades.

The Bible speaks of marriage and family unswervingly.  Let me share a few verses:

But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.

Mark 10:6

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

Ephesians 5:25

But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.

The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife,

and likewise the wife to her husband.

The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband.

In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body

but yields it to his wife.

1 Corinthians 7:2-3

The Bible has much to say about the union of man and wife. It makes clear how children will flourish, families will be blessed and society will prosper when these values are adhered to. Throughout history we can see what happens when convenantal marriage and family are not the standard – such cultures ultimately implode.

Restoring the Mosaic seeks to strengthen Canadian national unity by educating and informing policy-makers, legislators, and educational leaders with clinical research that will assist them to establish programs and policies that allow individuals with crises in identity to recover wholeness.
