But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive,

disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving,

slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,

treacherous, rash, conceited, loves of pleasure rather than lovers of God

— having a form of godliness but denying its power.

We have strayed far from the welcoming sense of community in our lives. Far from the place of relationships bathed in love, loyalty, commitment and responsibility. In fact the word love has become obliterated in the context of relationships for the last many years.

Children are now taught that that they are sexual beings from infancy onward and that sex at any age is their right. They are subject to identity theft by those, particularly in the education system, claiming that there no longer are girls and boys and to say makes you a bigot and hateful. Children are instructed by activist’s to lie to and disobey their parents in order to get their parents to agree to gender ideological assumptions.

So many in our culture lack self-control particularly in the area of sexuality. Again, children are not being taught how to control sexual urges, but rather all type of ways to give in to any and all desires. The culture is grooming our children to be open to all sexual advances. This sets them up to be preyed upon by pedophiles.

For two generations we have abdicated to those who are not not lovers of the good, the treacherous, and rash. We have forsaken the good and encouraged those who are lovers of pleasure. Pleasure for it’s own sake will never bring happiness and as we look around us, we witness great unhappy and mentally disturbance.

It will only be as individuals are exposed to the realities of truth in the presence of love, loyalty and commitment, will we begin to see righteousness being restored in our nation.
