The Battle is Real
The spiritual and emotional battle for our families has never been so intense, and yet many in our nation have been blinded to such realities. Last week, while I was presenting in Vancouver, I received a message that drag queens were going to be performing in our local school.
Needless to say, I was shocked. The message was not totally correct, but it lit a fire. In reality, the LGBTQ++ Get Real Movement was presenting. Drag queens are included under this umbrella and, although they didn’t show up at our schools in this presentation, the door has been flung wide open. The Get REAL Movement. This was all presented under the ‘anti-bullying’ guise.
I discovered, the next day, that this event was to be presented in three more rural schools in our riding.
Apparently, parents found out about this presentation just a couple of days before it happened. Some kept their children home, while others were turned away from entering their child’s school. Parents were not allowed into the school to witness the presentation.
One principal stated, “This is a curricular event, not a track and field event.”
Not only this, but the children were ushered into to the auditorium and told that they could not leave during the presentation – for any reason!
According to children from grades 5-8, and in our high school, Get Real Movement members shared their stories and sexual persuasions. “It was disgusting.” said one high schooler. “We had no idea what they were going to be talking about. We were given no warning, and yet we couldn’t be excused, or leave the room.”
Parents in the public school system have the right to remove their children from sex education curriculum, but with the generalized information they received, parents would not have been aware. Unless the parent did extensive homework and checked out “Get Real” and “Critical Race Theory” (yes, they are included in this group), they would have no idea that homosexual, lesbian and cross-sex identifying individuals would be sharing their stories, and presenting their views and values to vulnerable and impressionable children.
These are NOT the views and values of 90 percent of the population.
On the Get Real website, under Gender Joy, I saw that this group was not only presenting on cross-sex identity, but actively promoting the sale of breast binders, gaffs, and claiming that these ‘devices’ reduce harm to trans-children. Nothing could be further from the truth! The proliferation of lies is staggering.
The website sings their praises, with apparent teacher and student responses. To the unsuspecting parent, this might seem harmless.

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves.

West Coast Speaking Tour
I was invited to speak at four different venues while in the Vancouver area, and on Vancouver Island, where I sold out of all copies of my books that were available.
While each presentation was warmly received with lively Q & A following, my Sunday morning presentation at Westwood Community Church was the highlight for me. I shared parts of my testimony and then shared on the prevalence and effect of pornography within the Christian Church; calling both men and women to repentance.

A Barna 2022 poll indicated that 68% of Christian men and 50% of pastors view pornography, regularly. The largest group of viewers of porn are 11-17 year-olds. Given the reality of the chart below, developed by my friend, Jon Uhler, these trends are crippling our churches and our communities.
This is a very slippery slope into addiction, and we are a culture jumping off the cliff. Our churches will be more and more impacted as younger and younger children access pornography.
In 2021 the Daily Mail reported this:
“Two 11-year-old ‘porn addicts’ are arrested for ‘beating girl, six, to death with a rock, in India, when she refused to perform sex acts they had watched on their parents’ phones.”
If you think, “Well, this is in India,” consider this. While I was on the west coast, I was informed of an adolescent boy who was instructing kindergarten boys to perform sexual acts.
Our sex education curriculum, coupled with easy access to porn sites via cell phones, is truly changing the minds of a whole generation.

Upon returning from B.C. I will be settling in to complete my latest book: Loving Your Non-conforming Child.
This is a book for parents and grandparents of children who identify as LGBTQ++, and in particular, the ‘trans’ child.
