There is Hope
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13
In times of confusion and uncertainty, hope is the anchor that keeps us steadfast. Hope is not merely wishful thinking, but a firm assurance rooted in God’s promises. Even when society embraces ideologies that threaten truth and family values, we can stand firm in the knowledge that God is in control.
Hope calls us to action. It compels us to protect our children, to speak truth in love, and to trust that God will bring light into darkness. As we face challenges ahead, let us press on with courage, knowing that God holds the future.
Change on the Horizon
Well, the last month has certainly been a rollercoaster ride as President Trump has swept into office and is shaking up not only the USA but the entire world with his policies and plans. While we may not agree with everything he says, there is a new level of hope when we hear his proclamation that there are only two sexes – male and female.
While this should never even have been up for discussion, we’ve been living in a world of illusion since 2015 where expressing such reality could literally have us landing in jail. In Canada denying gender ideology comes with continual backlash.

Understanding the Threat of Social Contagion in Medicine
There has been an alarming trend of social contagion within the medical and psychiatric professions. Let’s look at some realities:
1. The Medicalization of Gender Dysphoria: A Historical Parallel
A study by Dianna Kenny (Kenny, 2024) draws a comparison between the current trend of gender-affirming care and past medical failures, such as lobotomies and the opioid crisis.
- Medical professionals have adopted gender-affirming treatments without sufficient long-term research.
- Historical parallels show how quickly harmful medical practices can gain traction before being debunked.
- The psychiatric community has ignored critical voices, leading to irreversible harm for many young patients.1
2. Body Dysmorphia and Gender Identity: Blurring the Lines
A second study by Erich Kasten (Kasten, 2024) explores the intersection between body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), body integrity dysphoria (BID), and gender dysphoria.
The ideology surrounding gender identity has led to radical self-mutilation cases, with little psychiatric intervention.
The psychiatric field has prioritized ideological conformity over patient well-being, failing to critically assess the long-term consequences of surgical and hormonal interventions.2
It’s Time to Set the Record Straight
Our culture’s fixation with sexualizing children and ideological conformity is the reason I am once again throwing my ‘hat in the ring’ politically. I have chosen to represent the Stop the New Sex Ed Agenda Party in my riding of Bruce-Grey Owen Sound.
This is not so much about winning a seat but rather having a place at the table to keep the established parties accountable to the values of families in our riding.
Children have a right to be protected and as parents it is our responsibility to do just that.
